Electric The Finale Book 6 edition by Carly Compass Literature Fiction eBooks
I want to start this review of Electric: The Finale (Book 6) with a quote from the book that sums up what happens to Gina and why it happens (at least in my opinion):“She was someone to be reckoned with for the first time in her life, she saw her own potential and it was limitless. All she needed was someone to believe in her, and now she finally had someone.”
It jumped out at me when I read it and stayed firmly lodged in my mind. For this right here is what I think makes her behave the way she does – and what motivates most of us. How many of us endure abusive partners, agree to toxic relationships, surround ourselves with certain people or do certain things because we are looking for validation? How wonderful is it to feel appreciated and understood, to have a purpose and support?
Once again, the author takes the reader on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and shares a wealth of interesting information. The right mix of meticulous research, emotional sensitivity and a gripping storyline makes this book as strong as the previous ones, if not stronger. Sometimes I found myself wishing I had gotten more of a glimpse into the ‘celestial’ workings of the spirits and guides, but then I remembered their important role in the previous book and settled down. And they do feature again in Book 6 and have some intriguing things to share which had me ruminating long afterwards.
The plot picks up around New Year’s Eve after Gina has fled from Reggie, and the net Don has been weaving around her grows tighter and tighter until she is fully ensnared. Sometimes he seemed like a spider to me indeed, cleverly hiding and biding his time only to swoop in at the right moments and reel in his prey closer and closer so he could finally swallow her up. He and all the scheming around him are truly disturbing and probably much too realistic, for I am convinced what seems so ‘crazy’ sometimes in the book is nothing but harsh reality. In this regard, Book 6 is an eye opener. Carly Compass shines a light on how people deal with grief and challenges, on how they use religion and cultural as well as political and financial controls to shape society.
Here’s a second quote that resonated with me and highlights another theme of the novel:
“I cannot understand why people of the earth cannot […] treat women and the earth with the respect and reverence that they deserve.”
Throughout the whole series, the author repeatedly makes the reader see just how much women have to suffer in our modern society, and how much of this also pertains to the environment and world in general.
The novel ends with the ominous sentence “It’s for the best”, and that got me thinking even harder. Don’t we all say this to ourselves when we do something we don’t like? But is it really for the best? Who decides what’s best for us, and who sees the ‘truth’? I believe the author has brought the series to a tremendous close with this novel, but I can’t help wondering. The ending – while perfect – leaves so much to think about and the possibility of another book. And I think that’s part of what makes this whole ride so enjoyable and admirable – there is no ‘forcing my truth / own beliefs onto the readers’, despite the plethora of information. The readers are left to wonder and ponder for themselves, and that’s why each book in the Electric series has made such a big impression on me.
If you enjoy thought-provoking stories that deal with matters of the heart as much as with how this world might work and how each of us willingly and unwillingly succumbs to some form of manipulation, I can highly recommend the whole series to you. It almost has a dystopian feel to it sometimes, but there is also an appeal and hope lingering between the lines.

Electric The Finale Book 6 edition by Carly Compass Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The final book of Electric was very good and brought an end to Gina's life as it had been. I'm not a fan of the spiritual world that was in this particular book. Voyeurism is not really my cup of tea and the havoc it caused was hard to believe this really happens. It was a good series and my heart was up and down many times for Gina and her children. I loved the fact it was set in the Chicago area. Hard to say too much without giving too much away. Carly's writing is very descriptive and made me feel like I was right there with Gina many times. Sometimes I did want to shake her and tell her to wake up but did enjoy the book.
In this finale ( Electric-Book 6 ), Gina continues to live a very tumultuous life along with her children. Despite the exhausting and emotional turmoil that she encounters, she still tries to continue to find validation of herself and within those surrounding her whom are really only a muse of lies, trickery, and deception. She has endured such a demising entangled web of toxicity, abuse, dishonesty, rejection, and coercion, medicinally, verbally and of a sexual nature, yet a part of herself still continues to look for her own personal redemption of her potential as a human being, a mother and a woman even though her mind and thoughts are surrounded by misconceived obscurities.Unbeknownst to her, each occurrences concerning her and her children are also being watched from a spiritual phenomenon, but even this can't be enough if acting like a robot without emotion is what constitutes being successful and perhaps trying to convince yourself that... "It's for the best" as mentioned in the story. In order to fully understand the story of Gina in her entirety, I highly recommend reading the prior book series 1-5before book 6 and you definitely won't be disappointed!!
Carly is such a remarkable writer/author who doesn't just write a story to be told, but she writes with such aspiring attributes that cannot only ascertain a reader's attention, but also enthrall one's views and heart in such a personal relation to one's self own life past or present. Her writing is the kind that keeps you wanting to continue turning to the the next page until the story is completed and keeps you looking forward to what can be next and you will never be discouraged!!
As I stated in reviews of the first 5 books, this is not my normal genre, but hey, everyone makes mistakes😁, the great spiritual turn gets a person thinking about, and hopefully discussing, spirituality, life the universe and everything (humble apologies to Douglas Adams). The main character of Gina Parrot will be with you long after and hopefully help people judge their own journeys through life a little bit better. Definitely worth the read.
