Professional wrestling has changed much since this was written. Much more glamour and spectacular holds. But this book writes briefly but still covering basic holds used now more in Greco Roman wrestling well to still be relevant. Even more enjoyable is the coverage, albeit too brief of the early twentieth century wrestlers who pioneered wrestling as we would come to know it. As much as I love to know about fellow Iowan, Frank Gotch, considered possibly the greatest wrestler of his time, I felt too much was devoted to him. I would've liked to know more about his contemporaries. Still an interesting brief history of pro wrestling with lots of rare photos.Product details
